JACKSON, Miss. (WLOX) - Soon, there will be no doubt whether you’re buying domestic or imported seafood in Mississippi. The state legislature recently passed House Bill 602, marking a move to enhance transparency in the seafood industry and build greater consumer confidence. Beginning July 1, 2025, all seafood and crawfish, whether in grocery stores, seafood markets, restaurants or food trucks, must be clearly labeled as either imported or domestic.

HANCOCK CO., Miss. (WLOX) - Two more men have been indicted in a bribery case involving former state senator Philip Moran and his son, convicted sex offender Alan Moran. A Hancock County grand jury indicted Ian Shexnayder and Jeremy Billings on the two felony charges: bribing a witness and conspiracy. Philip and Alan Moran were also indicted on the same felony charges that stem from a stalking case against the younger Moran.
