Simpson’s estate case bickering over items such as family photos and a grand piano: “Knock it off.”In the wake of Simpson’s death at his Las Vegas home last April, his estate has been mired in fighting between his children and the special administrator of his estate. The estate was valued at only about $328,000 in March and made an additional $268,486 at a recent auction, according to court documents.

A man who beat his 5-year-old son to death was sentenced Thursday to spend between 15 and 42 years in prison. Gerald Oglesby, 36, pleaded guilty to counts of second-degree murder and child abuse, neglect or endangerment in April. The sentence ordered by District Judge Tierra Jones was negotiated by the prosecution and defense as part of the plea deal. Oglesby was arrested in 2022 in connection with the death of General Oglesby.

The suspect in the fatal shooting of a man killed with his own open-carry gun appeared in court Wednesday and will be held without bail, at least for the time being. Kyle Robert Capucci, 36, faces a count of open murder in connection with the Friday afternoon slaying at the AutoZone at 1201 E. Charleston Blvd. The victim, David Carcamo, 21, had approached Capucci, who was behaving erratically and not wearing pants or shoes, to see if he was all right, according to police.

The son of the founder of Piero’s Italian Cuisine has made a no contest plea to a charge of harassment after police said he borrowed $1.5 million against the business without permission and threatened to carry out a shooting in the restaurant. Evan Glusman, 46, was arrested in April, hours after police said he sent a menacing text, on suspicion of making a threat or conveying false information about acts of terrorism and harassment.
