PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Consumer groups are warning that a newly released document exposes plans by the Trump administration to eliminate an agency that is vital to keeping consumers safe. This means two federal agencies tasked with protecting consumers are now potentially on the chopping block. First, the Trump administration targeted the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, or CFPB. Now, consumer advocates say there are plans to essentially get rid of the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Sunrise is a special camp that truly lives up to its name - a ray of light that rises out of the darkness. It's free summer camp where kids get to do typical camp stuff like swimming and crafting, all while fighting cancer. Elliette Long is a Sunrise camper. She was diagnosed with B lymphoblastic leukemia a year ago this month. "I got really, really, really scared I honestly thought I was going to die for a second," she says.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Tension over tariffs continues to escalate. It comes as President Donald Trump said he is not open to pausing tariffs to allow for negotiations. The White House confirmed that a 104% tariff rate on China will go into effect at midnight Wednesday. Prices will increase as a result of these tariffs, but the big question is when consumers will feel the financial hit.

Such a tragedy. My heart goes out to the entire Temple community as well as family & friends of JoAnne Epps, of whom I know there are many. Testament to the woman she was... truly inspiring... always putting responsibility and representation first. May she rest in peace.
