An officer with the San Jose Police Department was arrested and is being held without bail in the Santa Clara County Jail. Officer Timothy Faye was taken into custody on Wednesday in a case relating to "family violence," according to county case records.

Richard Jue, chief of staff of the San Francisco Sheriff's Office The San Francisco Sheriff's Office's Chief of Staff, Richard Jue, was arrested Sunday morning on suspicion of a hit-and-run and providing false information, the sheriff's office said. Jue was booked into the San Francisco County Jail on two charges, both misdemeanors, at around 8 a.m. He has since been released. According to the sheriff's office, the alleged incident occurred off-duty.

Jesus Aguilera, 44, has been identified as a suspect in a Sunnyvale homicide. Authorities have arrested Jesus Aguilera, the suspect accused of killing his estranged wife's boyfriend in May. Officials with the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety said the 44-year-old suspect was caught in Oakland on Friday and booked into the Santa Clara County Jail for murder.

The Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office has reached a settlement against beauty company Supergoop for allegedly misleading customers about their sunscreens being reef-friendly and reef-safe. The DA's office settled the civil lawsuit for $350,000 against the sun protection company, officials announced Friday. The settlement was filed in Santa Clara County Superior Court on June 3.
