Despite being one of four host nations for Euro 2028, Ireland is not guaranteed a place in the competition. UEFA have made the decision to only hold two spots for the four co-host nations. Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales will all be drawn in separate groups with each group consisting of four or five teams. The 12 group winners and the eight best runners-up will automatically qualify for the final tournament.
