Water Safety Ireland is urging the public to exercise increased caution around water following the tragic drowning of another teenager on Friday - the sixth drowning of an under-18-year-old in just six weeks. 15-year-old Kofi Owusu from the Blackrock area of Dundalk got into difficulty while swimming with friends in the River Nanny in Laytown, Co. Meath on Friday. Shortly after 9:30 pm, the teenage boy's body was pulled from the water and transferred to the hospital in Navan for a post-mortem.

An e-scooter driver in his 20s has been critically injured in a crash in north Dublin. The man was found on the road with serious injuries after it crashed at Cappagh Road in Finglas shortly after 5 o'clock yesterday evening (Sunday June 15th).
