Dublin's Leinster Hurling Championship victory over Wexford has been marred by controversy after Sean Currie's 50th minute goal was allowed to stand despite the ball appearing to not cross the line. Currie's 50th minute penalty was saved by Wexford keeper before being scrambled off the line by Mark Fanning, with aerial TV coverage of the incident appearing to show that the ball clearly didn't cross the line.

Dublin take on Wexford this afternoon in the second round of the Leinster Senior Hurling Championship. Today's game throws in at 4.30pm, with Parnell Park the venue for the match. The game is not being shown on TV, however, it is being streamed live on GAA+. Dublin got their campaign off to the perfect start with a win against Offaly. While they picked up the victory in the end, the Dubs were pushed all the way and knew they were in a game for virtually the entire 70 minutes.

When Ian Garry steps into the Octagon on Saturday evening, he will become just the third Irishman in history to headline a UFC event after Conor McGregor and Paddy Holohan. And if the Dubliner has his way, it will be the first of many. Since entering the UFC a number of years ago, Garry has gone from strength to strength. He has accumulated eight wins in four years, has become the hottest Irish star in MMA and is edging closer to a crack at the UFC Welterweight title.

Ian 'Machado' Garry takes on Carlos Prates this evening in a huge bout in the UFC's Welterweight division. Dubliner Garry has taken the MMA world by storm since debuting for the UFC a couple of years ago, and while he lost in his most recent bout to Shavkat Rakhmonov, his excellent performance proved to the world that he belongs on the top stage. He gets his chance to get back in the win column on Saturday evening but it will by no means be an easy night's work.
