A passenger, Ahmed Rabiu, has filed a N26m lawsuit against Virgin Atlantic Airways over his missing luggage while travelling in an aircraft belonging to the airline from London to Lagos. The passenger who dragged the airline before a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos is seeking $4000 (more than N6m) in compensation for the lost luggage and N20m in damages for the distress and inconveniences allegedly caused by the airline’s negligence.

Managing Director, AMCON, Gbenga Alade The Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria has insisted that it will recover all the debt owed by a Nigerian carrier, Arik Air. AMCON, which is currently managing the airline in receivers, stated that the corporation is not unaware of the false claims that the owner of the airline, Johnson Arumem-Ikhide, has been paddling against it and its officials, but it insisted that the matter was already in court.
