At least six people, including two soldiers, have been killed and unspecified numbers of people wounded when Boko-Haram terrorists ransacked a village in Gwoza local government area of the southern part of Borno State, local sources said. Business Day gathered that the terrorists rode on utility vehicles to storm Yamtake village in Gwoza local government area on Thursday night, some 11 kilometres away from Gwoza town, the former headquarters (Caliphate) of Boko-Haram terrorists.

The European Union has said it would spend €1.5 million, approximately(₦2.7billion) to support the livelihoods of vulnerable people through diversification of income-generating and access to vocational inclusive in seven councils areas in Borno and Yobe States. Borno and Yobe states, the worst affected by the Boko Haram insurgency, had its educational and infrastructure system crippled as a result of 15 years of conflicts.

Governor Babagana Zulum has sympathised with 21 people injured by a bomb blast suspected to have been planted by Boko Haram insurgents along the Maiduguri-Damboa highway on Saturday. Of the victims, 14 were severely injured, 7 had minor injuries and were receiving treatment at the Specialist Hospital in Maiduguri. The Governor, while sympathising with the injured, expressed grief and solidarity with the families of the 8 people who lost their lives.
