Pamela Gravenor Nance had plans to hang a watercolour of two nuns in Quebec City on a red wall in her living room. It’s her favourite painting and prized possession. The artist was her father Eric Gravenor, who painted later in his life, before he died at age 64. Instead, the wall and many others in her new home are empty. Half a dozen of her father’s paintings are missing after moving to Hudson, New York.

The Canada-U.S. border has become a major issue since President Donald Trump was sworn in. Trump claims the RCMP is not doing enough to keep it secure, so Noovo Info reporter Marie-Michelle Lauzon spent time patrolling with officials on both sides of the border. She spoke with U.S. Customs and Border Patrol agents as they were taking migrants into a correctional centre in Vermont. “They’ve been processed administratively,” said patrol agent Bryan Dyke.

Three months into 2025, the Montreal police service (SPVM) said its priority for the year is targeting unsolved homicides by adding 10 new investigators. On Thursday, police chief Fady Dagher presented a year-in-review Thursday for 2024, taking stock of the successes in the previous year and where the police force is looking for improvements. The 2025 action plan seeks to raise the resolution rate for homicides, which was 81 per cent last year with 26 of the 32 homicides resulting in arrests.

For two centuries, Montreal has celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with a parade.
