HARWINTON, Conn. (WFSB/Gray News) - Two people were set to face a Connecticut judge on Tuesday in connection with a manslaughter case that happened in Harwinton last July. Logan Diaz-Lopardo, 21, and 20-year-old Abbigale Whipple, both of Torrington, were arrested on Monday, state police said. Their arrest stemmed from an investigation that began in July when 24-year-old Kevin Christopher Gangell was struck and killed on Clearview Avenue in Harwinton.

OXFORD, Conn. (WFSB/Gray News) - One person has been found dead Monday morning and another person is still missing after they were swept away by flooding Sunday in Connecticut, authorities said. The two were after being swept away by flood waters along Little River in Oxford, police said. Oxford Fire Chief Scott Pellitier said one person was in a car, and the other clung to a sign before a rapid stream of water swept them away. Identities of those swept away were not yet disclosed.
