May 10-WENATCHEE - The Wenatchee City Council Thursday approved emergency repairs on the stormwater main on Fifth Street after a sinkhole formed in the bike lane between Chelan Avenue and North Emerson Avenue. The stormwater main was found with a two-foot hole and approximately 35 feet of a section of pipe where the bottom was missing, according to city council agenda report. Funding for repairs was approved to up to $500,000 if needed, according to a city staff member.
