A water main break and sinkhole are affecting about 20 people’s homes and businesses in Bethlehem, a city official said. Edward Boscola, director of the city’s water department, told lehighvalleylive.com crews identified the break in the main around mid-day Tuesday. It happened along Schoenersville Road — between Illick’s Mill and Catasauqua roads. The break has since created a sinkhole, he said.

Six thieves are accused of targeting high-value tools at two area Home Depot locations, with one person now in custody, police say. Stroud Area Regional Police and Whitehall Township police said the thefts happened on April 30.

An Allentown teen is charged in a shooting Monday morning that left another juvenile injured, city police said. Police Captain of Training & Special Services Christopher Diehl said a shot was fired shortly before 11 a.m. in the 1200 block of Union Boulevard. The victim was found suffering from a gunshot wound in a car parked in the 700 block of East Washington Street. Officers and paramedics immediately rendered aid before the juvenile was taken to an area hospital for treatment, Diehl said.

The man who died following a police incident at a South Whitehall supermarket has been identified by the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office. The coroner is identifying the deceased as 45-year-old Timothy D. Vanbilliard of Emmaus. He was pronounced dead just before 3 p.m. Sunday at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest in Salisbury Township. Easton police seized two stolen vehicles during a raid Tuesday morning at a suspected “chop shop” being operated out of a city home. Easton Police Lt. Matt Gerould said the search began shortly after 6 a.m. in the 1200 block of Lehigh Street. Easton’s Special Response Unit and Criminal Investigation Division obtained a search warrant after an investigation into activity being conducted at the residence, Gerould said.
