The Baldwin County Tigers are looking to take a big step in year two under head coach Andrew Davis. Baldwin County had some understandable growing pains in the very tough Class 6A Region 1. However, momentum is building for the program this spring. The team is in its first full offseason under Davis and his staff. The continuity has helped with implementing scheme and expectations.

DAPHNE, Ala. (WKRG) — Local high school football teams are hard at work this offseason as they gear up for the fall. Bayside Academy has plenty of momentum coming off a strong 2024 season. Head coach Barrett Trotter enters his third season with the program. The former Auburn quarterback led the Admirals to nine wins and a trip to the quarterfinal round of the Class 3A playoffs.

(WKRG) — A Mobile man has been sentenced to prison time after pleading guilty to the distribution of child pornography. According to a news release from the United States Department of Justice, Michael Jerome Elder, 50, was sentenced to 15 years in prison on the charge. He pleaded guilty on Jan. 16, 2025.

According to an MPD news release, the shooting occurred around noon Thursday on the 2700 block of Farnell Drive.

According to an Escambia County Sheriff’s Office Facebook post, deputies conducted a search warrant on Thursday, May 8, at a home on the 200 block of Cayden Way.
