MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - A Clarke County man owns a horse that’s running in the Kentucky Derby, also known as the most exciting two minutes in sports. Robbie Norman and his horse Coal Battle have a pretty interesting story. The horse is a long shot, but stranger things have happened on the first Saturday in May at Churchill Downs. And even with the odds stacked against him, Norman is betting it all on Coal Battle. Norman went to school to be an accountant. Then, he bought his own grocery stores.

Claude Strother has been hunting turkeys since 1975, so being attacked by a bobcat was something he never saw coming, both literally and metaphorically. “Just a fluke deal,” he said. Strother called it, “Just a fluke deal.”At 82 years old, he has gone viral. “I always sit by a big tree. This time I didn’t. I sat by two little trees about as big as your arms. About 18 inches apart,” said Strother. The die hard turkey hunter from Selma was calling up a big one on his land in Wilcox County when he said he took a hit from behind.
