An MPD spokesperson told FOX10 news, “perp walks” have been suspended until further notice. Mobile police have escorted suspects to metro jail in front of media cameras for years. They typically only did it for high profile crimes.

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - The power of social media, and maybe even a little Christmas magic, reunited a woman with her painting that had accidentally been donated to Goodwill. Taylor West first told FOX10 News that her mother-in-law accidentally sent the floral mural to Goodwill. West said the painting was special to her because her husband gave it to her on their first Christmas as a married couple. Their friend painted it. She took to social media to see if anyone could it at Goodwill.

Ada Fritz has been known as ‘Jane Doe’ since her body was found in Grand Bay in 1976. According to the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office, teenage boys found Fritz’s body in Sessions Creek off of Potter Tract Rd in Grand Bay in May of 1976. The 62-year-old had been shot in the back of the head.
