We're saying farewell to News 8 sports director Pat Principe, who is retiring. He looked back at his 40 years at WGAL and picked his top five moments. No. 1 is Penn State football. In particular, he highlighted the 1995 Rose Bowl because that was the Nittany Lions' first Rose Bowl as a Big 10 member. It was notable for Ki-Jana Carter breaking an 80-yard run on the very first play of the game. Penn State was undefeated and finished the game undefeated.

The game was 9-3 at the half, and as the snow fell harder, the teams kept racking up the points. The Barons scored a touchdown to get ahead and kick the extra point.
