A 62-year-old man has received an "indefinite ban" from attending Everton matches over a video which appeared to show him not paying for food during the first test event of the club's new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock. The clip, which circulated on social media, purportedly showed a man ordering food during the game on February 17, when Everton's Under-18s played against Wigan Athletic's youth team with 10,000 fans in attendance.

There were several moments of Everton's 1-0 win away to Nottingham Forest on Saturday when the promise of Armando Broja was clear. On his first start since January, the on-loan Chelsea striker battled with centre-backs Murillo and Nikola Milenkovic, gave Everton an attacking platform, and linked well with team-mates. With his back turned, he pointed to the name on the back of his shirt before swivelling and appearing to make contract-signing and phone-call gestures. Then he shrugged and put his finger to the side of his head. The message left little room for interpretation.

David Moyes has reaffirmed his commitment to keeping Jarrad Branthwaite and believes Everton "hold all the cards" when it comes to the England international's future. Branthwaite, 22, was the subject of two unsuccessful bids from Manchester United last summer and remains on the radar of top clubs. Speculation has persisted regarding a big-money move, but Moyes is looking to keep hold of his star defender.
