    A woman charged with murder after a man was stabbed to death will appear in court this morning. Kayleigh Smart, 39 and of no fixed address but believed to be from the Billinge area, was charged in connection with the fatal stabbing of Liam Collier following an incident inside a flat on Sherlock Avenue in Haydock on Friday, May 2. Smart was remanded in custody and will appear before Liverpool Magistrates' Court today, Monday, May 5.

A woman has been arrested after a man was stabbed to death inside a flat in Merseyside. Emergency services were called to reports of an incident at a block of flats on Sherlock Avenue in Haydock at around 10.25pm on Friday night. When officers arrived, alongside paramedics from the North West Ambulance Service, they discovered a man in his 30s suffering from stab wounds.
