    A former Clydebank nightclub is to be auctioned tomorrow (Thursday, April 4). The vacant site in Clydebank town centre was previously the Oasis nightclub. Once a favourite party spot, the building has been empty for years. Built 1924 and previously known as the Crow Bar, the two-storey building was sold for £500,000 in December 2003, according to auctioneers. Bidding is to start at £204,000 at tomorrow’s auction.

    There are delays on the M8 in Glasgow this morning (Wednesday, April 16) after a lorry shed its load. Drivers are stuck in queues around 13 minutes long on the westbound carriageway. The incident occurred before 8.48am at junction 25 for Hillington and the Braehead Shopping Centre. Traffic camera images show rubble in the inside lane of the motorway as drivers go around to avoid it.

The family of toddler Rio Stanulis say they endured a litany of mistakes at Glasgow’s Royal Hospital for Children, and that understaffing is putting patients at risk. Rio’s parents say they have witnessed sub-standard care several times since Rio’s birth. 17-month-old Rio was diagnosed with neuroblastoma weeks after being told nothing was wrong, and has suffered other serious health complications.

    Glasgow commuters are facing rush hour queues this morning after a crash on the M80 near Cumbernauld. Several vehicles were involved and two lanes were blocked after a multi-vehicle collision northbound carriageway before 7.15am. The collision occurred at junction 6 for the A8011, Cumbernauld Old Inns Junction. Queues stretched back to Junction 5, Cumbernauld Low Wood Junction.
