MANILA, Philippines — A subsidiary of Meralco PowerGen Corp. (MGen) has received the green light from the Energy Market Authority (EMA) to build, own and operate two power-generating units in Singapore. The EMA has awarded the permit to MGen’s PacificLight Power Pte Ltd. (PLP), which owns an 800-megawatt (MW) liquefied natural gas-fired (LNG) power plant in Jurong Island, Singapore.
