China’s National Statistics Bureau reported GDP growth at 5.4% “in the first quarter.” Since China reports GDP differently from Europe or America, note that this figure is for reported one-year GDP growth from the first quarter 2024 to the first quarter 2025. U.S. President Donald Trump today turned down making money in favor of making peace. Yesterday, Ukraine’s acting president, Volodymyr Zelensky on CBS News had appealed for the U.S. to make available, for purchase or lease, up to 10 Patriot air defense systems. He added that he has some European backers who have offered to help with the money. Today, speaking to reporters in the Oval Office on Zelensky’s offer of up to $15 billion for the deal, responded: “He’s always looking to purchase missiles.
