A Yellowstone County jury convicted a man Friday of raping and robbing a blind woman at her Billings home. Bryan Leigh Anderson was found guilty in Yellowstone County District Court of three counts of sexual intercourse without consent, with jurors hearing firsthand from the woman who survived his abuse. During the trial, which began Monday, she spoke in unrelentingly blunt terms about what she felt, smelled and tasted nearly two years ago after Anderson broke into her apartment.

A second suspect has been charged in the murder of a man last month south of Billings. The suspect, a 14-year-old boy, pleaded not guilty in Yellowstone County District Court to deliberate homicide earlier this week. The teen, along with 32-year-old Justin Alexander Hosey allegedly restrained a man in his trailer and burned him alive. The 14-year-old is currently under house arrest and being monitored by GPS, according to court documents.

A Hardin man pleaded not guilty earlier this week to setting fire to a Billings duplex, killing a house pet. Ray Morgan Reese Jr. has been charged in Yellowstone County District Court with counts of arson, criminal endangerment and aggravated animal cruelty. At the conclusion of his arraignment June 3, Standing Master Bradley Kneeland set his bond at $150,000. A cat was killed in the fire, according to court documents, and at least two people went to the hospital.

A Canadian woman died Thursday in a single-vehicle crash between Forsyth and Miles City. While the crash late Thursday night remains under investigation, drug intoxication was suspected to have been a factor. Along with the fatality, another woman was hospitalized following the wreck. The 22-year-old woman from Regina was at the wheel of an SUV traveling east along Interstate 94, according to a statement from Montana Highway Patrol. Riding with her was a woman, also 22, from California.

A third suspect in a Billings homicide was arrested Thursday. Brian Dale Contreraz was booked into Yellowstone County Detention Facility on suspicion of deliberate homicide, trespassing, drug possession and obstructing justice. As of Friday morning, Contreraz had yet to be charged but court documents filed against two women named him as the man who allegedly stabbed a Hardin man to death earlier this month.
