The state of New York has announced a $600,000 settlement with fitness giant Equinox Group after an investigation found the company made it unnecessarily difficult for customers to cancel gym memberships. As reported by FingerLakes1.com in Seneca Falls, N.Y., the settlement requires Equinox, SoulCycle and Equinox+ to provide refunds of up to $250 to eligible New York customers who attempted to cancel their memberships between Feb. 9, 2021, and Dec. 31, 2024, but were unsuccessful.
