The brief was simple, "we can't perform it until you write it," said Paul Turton, presenter of the ABC statewide morning show. The call went out, and listeners from across the state sent in their name suggestions for the fictional town, and more incredibly, character names and back stories.

But one local organisation has made it their mission to gift backpacks full of school supplies to students in the Hunter region.
