Palmerston North couple Daniel and Bronte Hodgetts. It’s Palmy’s very own musical love story. He was a former Palmerston North Boys' High School student. She went to Palmerston North Girls' High. Although both were from musical families, they only “sort of” knew each other. It was a shared love of music that brought Daniel and Bronte Hodgetts together and helped Cupid’s arrow find its mark. They began dating, romance blossomed, and this month they married at St Albans Church in Palmerston North.

Jazmine Dean. Freyberg High School student Jazmin Dean is showing maturity beyond her years in umpiring New Zealand senior women’s basketball league games this season. The 18-year-old will again have the whistle as part of the referee crew for the Rapid League match between Tokomanawa Queens and Tauranga Whai at Fly Palmy Arena on Saturday night.
