Students learn different genres of dance including ballet, jazz, contemporary and acro - which combines classic dance techniques with acrobatic elements. They also do competition work, performing in troupes as well as solo, and some even do musical theatre, which involves learning to sing. Out of curiosity, the Bush Telegraph went on a hunt for information about the origin of the parade tradition. In North America, it’s often called the Santa Claus parade, according to Wikipedia, and is a bit of a throwback to a revival of Roman pomp and ceremony and pageantry.

Home / Hawkes Bay Today / Tararua newsCraig Sowry and his wife Lori Teddy say they’re ‘fairly extremely’ into Christmas. “I’ve been decorating houses for 20-plus years in Pahīatua and other places we’ve lived and [Lori’s] got a lot of stuff she’s collected over many years and really enjoys,” he says. They used to just decorate their own home and when they moved to the farm on Makomako Rd, they started doing it there. Craig says a few people came through and really enjoyed what they’d done.

So, it's been a while. The last 3 months have been hell since losing my mum. But a friend, who understands what I'm going through, posted a link to @Pink song Perfect. It was the song that really got me into her music. Now it means even more to me than before.

Random thought. Every time I watch a doco on Queen or the movie #BohemianRhapsody I have to wonder. Did Freddie somehow know his time was limited? It seemed like he packed a lot of living in a few short years.
