STAMFORD - Michelle Troconis, convicted of conspiring to kill Jennifer Dulos, is due back in court Wednesday on contempt of court charges related to her trial last year. Prosecutors have charged Troconis with two counts criminal contempt of court. The charges stem from her trial in 2024, during which prosecutors claim Troconis displayed sealed court documents on her court computer. She has pleaded not guilty and, through her attorney, has sought to have the contempt of court charges thrown out.

MILFORD - After jurors heard testimony Tuesday from police and medics about the "chaotic" scene the night James McGrath was fatally stabbed at a Shelton house party in 2022, the trial of the man accused of his death will enter a second day on Wednesday. Raul Valle, 20, is charged with murder in McGrath's killing and assault in the stabbings of three other people at the party.

NORTH HAVEN - Police closed a section of the Hartford Turnpike early Wednesday morning for a situation that drew the regional SWAT team to the scene. The turnpike has been shut down between Skiff and School streets, the North Haven Police Department said in a social media post.
