    Over two thirds (69%) of advisers are ready to “break up” with their CRM system, new research from Twenty7tec and Smart Money People has found. The study revealed that advisers’ relationships with these systems are coming under serious strain. Just 12.3% describe themselves as very satisfied with their current provider, while a third remain neutral. Almost half of respondents (43.4%) say a client portal is very important in their CRM, while a further 36.4% say it’s somewhat important.

    Legal & General has announced a shake up of the leadership team within its group protection division. Tracey Bridger is set to take over as claims & governance director from 1 January 2026. Bridger, currently head of claims for group protection, will succeed Vanessa Sallows, who will step down from the role at the end of 2025. Sallows will continue with L&G in a newly created part-time role as claims & clinical development director.

    Ascot Lloyd has introduced a new pricing structure as part of its rebranding strategy. The IFA firm said the new structure reflects its ambition to be more transparent on fees. It added that the tiered approach underscored a desire to “make financial advice more accessible” for a wider set of clients. It is based on total funds under management (FUM), with an ongoing fee percentage determined by bandings.

    National Friendly has reported a substantial increase in sales of its income protection and accident-only income protection (AOIP) policies. The mutual insurer said sales of income protection and AOIP increased by 81% and 53% in the year ending 31 December 2024. It added that new sales across all the friendly society’s products have more than doubled since 2021.
