Arkansas fans gathered Wednesday to send off the Razorbacks baseball team as they prepare to chase a championship in Omaha. Some fans arrived early to show their support, with many expressing that this is a special team. "I think how they come together as a team, they fish together, they go to Bible study together, they just do everything together and I think that bounds them tighter and tighter into a team and helps them play better," said Randy Goad, a fan.

Officials with the Poteau Valley Improvement Authority say they are almost out of water. They say the main tanks are empty. The reserves are also almost out. The company provides water for two-thirds of the homes and businesses in LeFlore County. More than 4,300 customers were without power as of 8:20 a.m. Monday, according to poweroutage.us.This is a developing story. We will have more updates as we learn more.

It has been almost a year since the May 26 storms, and the city of Little Flock still does not have a city hall. Little Flock’s City Hall was destroyed after a tree fell on the building. Little Flock Mayor Jeff Van Sickler says it has been a slow process getting everything in place for a new city hall. Little Flock City Council just approved starting negotiations with Nabholz Construction. It still does not know the full price tag for rebuilding.

A bill to remove exceptions on Arkansas's slavery ban has died in committee, Rep. Jay Richardson, the bill's sponsor, told 40/29 News. The House State Agencies and Governmental Affairs Committee ranked other amendments ahead of his to potentially go on a ballot for voters. House Bill 1002 would have amended the Arkansas Constitution to repeal the exception to the prohibition of slavery and involuntary servitude. The constitution allows the acts if they are punishment for a crime.
