A board member for the Arkansas Department of Corrections is weighing in on the high-profile escape of Grant Hardin. Dr. Dubs Byers is also an author of the book, "The Paper Plate Escape." It's about the 1979 escape of 10 inmates from the Cummins Unit prison in Lincoln County where Byers once worked. He says prison escapes were much more common then than they are now. Byers calls Hardin's escape, unfortunate. "99-point-something percent of our employees do a wonderful job," Byers said.
