As a media organisation, we do not always do enough to connect to our most valuable subscribers. We give new subscribers an introductory discount, send onboarding information, and work hard to engage these new subscribers. But, what do we do about those long-term and high-value subscribers? How do we let them know how much we appreciate them? We have previously shared the story about our subscriber appreciation month that we launched last year.

During last week’s INMA Media Subscriptions Summit in Stockholm, three of the world’s most successful media companies shared their subscriber journey obstacles and hits along the way. NZZ’s Briefing newsletter Nashua Gallagher, head of customer journey management at at the Neue Zuercher Zeitung (NZZ) in Switzerland, told the audience about a well-establlished conservative newspaper, founded in 1780.
