The Fianna Fáil leader and his incoming tánaiste, Simon Harris, held crisis talks with Ceann Comhairle Verona Murphy last night. The purpose of their meeting was to find a way of avoiding a repeat of the shouting matches that led to the Dáil being abandoned yesterday. Questions have been raised about Ms Murphy’s position in the chair after she lost control of the chamber.
