Most research in Parkinson's disease (PD) focuses on improving motor symptoms. Yet, up to 80% of patients present with non-motor symptoms that often have a large impact on patients’ quality of life. Impairment in working memory (WM), a fundamental cognitive process, is common in PD. While deep brain stimulation (DBS) of the subthalamic nucleus (STN) improves motor symptoms in Parkinson’s disease, its impact on cognitive functions is less well studied.

AbstractDigitalization plays a critical role and is beginning to impact every part of the patient journey, from drug discovery and data collection to treatment and patient-reported outcomes. We aimed to evaluate the status quo and future directions of digital medicine in the specialty of gynecology and obstetrics in Germany. An anonymous questionnaire was distributed via the German Society of Gynecology and Obstetrics newsletter in December 2022.
