It can be used as a separation technique, because the process results in the separation of the mother liquor and the solid phase. If the mother liquor and the solid phase have different compositions it can also be used as a purification technique. In such cases the mother liquor must contain impurities.

The present study was conducted on two fattening farms in Southern Germany (farm A and farm B) with a known history of L. intracellularis infection. Additionally, the herd attending veterinarian of farm B reported about a recent clinical outbreak of B. hyodysenteriae before the start of the study. In both farms the pigs were kept in accordance with the guidelines of the German Animal Welfare Ordinance [12].

AbstractWe discuss the challenges that the standard (Humean and non-Humean) accounts of laws face within the framework of quantum gravity where space and time may not be fundamental. This paper identifies core (meta)physical features that cut across a number of quantum gravity approaches and formalisms and that provide seeds for articulating updated conceptions that could account for QG laws not involving any spatio-temporal notions.
