Gamilaroi man Dhinawan Baker has won the 2024 Deadly Funny National Grand Final held on Monday 14 April at Arts Centre Melbourne. The event, part of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, was hosted by comedian Mr Kevin Kropinyeri and featured performances by 2024 winners Tyson Walker and Kalah Lovegrove, 2022 winner Ms Janty Blair, and US guest Channel Ali.

Fremantle Arts Centre will soon unveil new multi-disciplinary exhibition 'It's Always Been Always' - a tribute to Aboriginal women, celebrating their pivotal role as custodians, intrinsic connectors and cultural caretakers. Bringing together a diverse range of small to large-scale works by six acclaimed Aboriginal female artists from across Australia, the exhibition is set to open to the public in May.

Larrakia and Wulna man Nigel Browne took on the organisation's chief executive role on a five-year term in March. He'd previously served in the same position at the Larrakia Development Corporation as Director at the Indigenous Land & Sea Corporation and National Centre for Indigenous Excellence, among other groups.
