After postponing several concerts for medical reasons in March — including a show with Sting that had been scheduled for American Family Field in Milwaukee in April — Billy Joel has canceled his 2025 and 2026 touring plans altogether. The legendary singer-songwriter, who turned 76 on May 9, announced via social media May 23 that 17 concerts have been called off after he's been diagnosed with normal pressure hydrocephalus, a brain disorder.

The final two Bank Five Nine Main Stage headliners — a country star and a veteran rock act — have been revealed for the 2025 Wisconsin State Fair. Fair officials announced May 21 that Jon Pardi will play the fair's main stage Aug. 6 with Easton Corbin opening. On May 20, the fair announced that rockers Queensrÿche will play the main stage Aug. 3, with Great White and Quiet Riot opening. Tickets for both shows go on sale at 10 a.m. May 23 at wistatefair.com and will include same-day fair admission.

Paul Simon made an improbable return to a Milwaukee stage May 17 for the first of two concerts after retiring from touring in 2018 due to hearing loss. Simon performed with up to 13 musicians in Milwaukee, including his wife Edie Brickell, with perhaps three times as many instruments, but the band was restrained in volume, the sound mix immaculate.
