Full closure of Dartford Crossing QEII Bridge announced as painting work begins (Image: PA) The QEII Bridge at the Dartford Crossing will fully close this month. The closure is for "routine safety inspections and maintenance". It will be shut from 10pm on Saturday, April 26 until 5am on Sunday, April 27. National Highways has also announced that painting work will take place on the bridge from April until October. This will "protect some of its metal components from corrosion".

A man has been arrested on suspicion of GBH after a teenage girl was stabbed near a school in Northolt. Police were called to reports of a stabbing in Godfrey Avenue near Alec Reed Academy at around 8.15pm yesterday (April 16). Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and found a 17-year-old girl suffering a cut to the head. She was taken to hospital for treatment where her injuries are confirmed to be not life threatening. The man remains in custody.

Girl taken to hospital after stabbing near Alec Reed school in Northolt (Image: Google) A teenage girl has been taken to hospital after a stabbing near Alec Reed Academy in Northolt. London Ambulance Service were called at 8.14pm last night (April 16) to reports of a stabbing near Godfrey Avenue. Ambulance crews, an incident response officer and a member of the tactical response unit were sent to the scene. A teenager was treated at the scene before being taken to a hospital.
