The catalyst support plays a pivotal role in regulating the geometric and electronic structure of active metal phases, thereby optimizing catalytic performance in terms of activity, selectivity, and stability. (1−10) Gamma alumina (γ-Al2O3) is a highly prevalent support material in catalysis, due to its high mechanical strength, high surface area, and relatively low production cost. (11−13) However, understanding the complex structure of γ-Al2O3 still presents a significant challenge.

IntroductionClick to copy section linkSection link copied!Ligand-stabilized atomically precise noble metal nanoclusters, comprising a metal atomic core and a ligand molecular shell, have attracted considerable attention in both fundamental research and practical applications. (1−3) Their atom-sensitive performance provides insights into the structure–property relationships of nano and bulk materials at the atomistic level.
