To win the all-around, Moreno placed third in the bull riding average race by covering 2-of-4 bulls.

The Bears defeated the Hózhó Academy ‘A’ team in the finals of the 7-on-7 tournament by a 20-12 count. In the Bigman Challenge, Wingate tied host Window Rock for first as both squads garnered 18 points each. “Our kids have been working really hard,” Wingate head coach AD Jim said.

The biggest winner to emerge from the 75th edition was Wade Tuni as he collected a whopping $4,440, which included ground money. Of the 36 entries, Tuni was the only one to cover his bull as he rode 100X for 82 points in Saturday night’s performance. “I was the first one out and it was a pretty nice one,” Tuni said of his draw.
