    LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - The Clarksville Police Department arrested an alleged shoplifter after he pulled out a gun and attempted to run Thursday evening, according to a post. The suspect, Richard Smith, was at Lowe’s and attempted to steal some products while he had warrants, police said. As officers approached Smith, he began to run away and pulled out a gun. One officer tased Smith to keep nearby bystanders safe.

    LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A man is in the hospital after a shooting in the Beechmont neighborhood Saturday afternoon according to the Louisville Metro Police Department. Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 4500 block of South 1st Street just before 6:30 p.m., LMPD spokesperson John Bradley said. When officers arrived, they found a man who had been shot. He was taken to UofL Hospital and is expected to survive, Bradley said.

APRON Inc. wants to help restaurant owners facing massive repair bills and workers who are out of a job. The group’s chair said dozens of workers from several riverfront restaurants have already reached out for assistance.
