Angel City FC has their next head coach. The National Women’s Soccer League club announced on Thursday that Alexander Straus has been hired, and will join the team at the end of May. Sam Laity has been managing the team as interim coach, with Angel City posting a 2-2-0 record. This is the first time that Angel City has gone unbeaten in its first four matches. Mark Parsons, Angel City sporting director, said that Straus fits the “profile” of what the club was looking for in its next head coach.

Latrobe has not only moved up in classification. The Wildcats boys volleyball team has also moved up to No. 1 in the WPIAL Class 3A rankings. After spending two years in Class 2A, Latrobe is back in Class 3A after the PIAA biennial realignment. "We welcome the move back to Class 3A," Latrobe coach Drew Vosefski said. "The kids were looking forward to the challenge, especially since our club team did so well during the offseason.

She has four wins this season, helping Shaler to a 4-2 overall record and a perfect 2-0 record in conference play.
