INDIANAPOLIS — An arson investigation is underway at Broad Ripple Park after a fire destroyed a building that housed summer camp supplies. According to Indy Parks, all items intended for summer camp were lost in the blaze. Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers responded Monday night to a report of a burglary in progress at 1610 Broad Ripple Ave., where the suspects reportedly broke windows before fleeing the scene.

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Housing Agency (IHA) released its new 12-month action plan to revitalize its properties on Monday. The agency is currently under the watch of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Yvonda Bean, the new CEO, was brought in three months ago to help get the agency running in good standing. After 12 weeks, she's releasing a new plan.

It is hosting a series of town halls to connect with community members. The job of Indy's clinician-led community response team is to help people living in downtown and on the east and north sides who may be suffering from a mental health emergency.

BROWNSBURG — A massive investigation is underway, looking into a Brownsburg childcare facility. A former employee of Main Street University 4 Kidz is accused of child molestation. This comes after delayed reports and one teacher stepping forward to alert the Department of Child Services. Gabriel Garner is accused of inappropriately placing his genitals on girls' faces while they were sleeping, taking pictures of children and engaging in other sexual acts.

INDIANAPOLIS — A new app is now at the fingertips of Indianapolis Metropolitan Police officers. The Shield wellness app lets officers do self-check-ins and schedule free counseling sessions. It's a tool aimed at breaking down the stigma around seeking help for mental health. Officer Dominic Smith works the bike unit downtown. He spends a lot of time interacting with the unhoused population with whom he has built friendships with.
