INDIANAPOLIS — Riverside Adventure Park is opening soon. Indy Parks has revitalized one of the city's most historic parks with new playground equipment and trials while highlighting nature in the central part of the Circle City. Indy Parks hope it will encourage folks of all ages to go outside, get active and reduce stress. The project has been in the works since 2017. INDIANAPOLIS — Members of the Indianapolis Fire Department, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department and the Marion County Sheriff's Office were all under one roof Tuesday for the 57th annual Fire, Police & Deputy Sheriff’s Community Recognition Luncheon. The ceremony recognizes those public safety members in the community for outstanding service from the past year, according to the ceremony's host Citizens Energy Group.

INDIANAPOLIS — The bus driver is often the first person, other than family members, kids see on their way to school. "And at the end of the day, we get them home safely," said Marla Palacios, Director of Transportation for Washington Township School District. The district is making an effort to recruit more school bus drivers. This comes as a nationwide bus driver shortage continues. Palacios said it's a rewarding experience and a great responsibility. "We transport on average over 6,600 kids a day.

INDIANAPOLIS — The next round of heavy rain is in the forecast for the weekend. It comes about two weeks after storms dumped inches of rain in Central Indiana. "My basement flooded. I had a sump pump go out," said Tony Gessup. Tony Gessup still has water damage in his basement. His home sits off Sherman and Southeastern Ave. He was surprised to see how flooded the area gets. "The cars they get buried in water. They literally had to shut the road down here two weeks ago," he said.

INDIANAPOLIS — When parents want answers about their child's health, it can be tough to wait. A local clinic is providing a new service to help cut down on wait times for families seeking evaluations to find out if their child is on the autism spectrum. "We noticed that there has been a gap in getting these diagnostic evaluations done," said Taquita Taylor. Children's Express Care Clinic off 56th Street and Emerson Way is now offering diagnostic autism evaluations.
