WE WENT BACK A COUPLE MORE YEARS TO 2022. AT THIS POINT IN THAT YEAR, IT WAS 87. THAT’S A 57% DROP. COMMISSIONER WARLEY SAYS HE IS PROUD OF HIS OFFICERS, BUT HE SAYS THERE IS A LONG WAY TO GO.

    ANNAPOLIS IN THE COMING DAYS. A JEWISH SCHOOL IN BALTIMORE COUNTY FACES A LAWSUIT OVER ALLEGED CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE. A FORMER STUDENT FILED THE SUIT AGAINST THE TALMUDICAL ACADEMY. THE STUDENT CLAIMS THEY WERE ABUSED BY RABBI EPHRAIM SHAPIRO BACK IN THE 1970S. RABBI SHAPIRO HAS SINCE DIED. AT THE TIME, THE SUIT SAYS HE WAS A DORMITORY COUNSELOR AT THAT SCHOOL. THE SURVIVOR CAME FORWARD AS A RESULT OF THE CHILD VICTIMS ACT.
