The city of Isanti received some great cost-savings information regarding the well four improvement project that has been planned for some time. The public is invited to join for the ‘largest beach party’ in Isanti County while helping to support local military service members, veterans and their families. Isanti County Beyond the Yellow Ribbon will be hosting a beach party fundraising event on Saturday, May 3, at the Armed Forces Reserve and Community Center in Cambridge.

New Pathways is one step closer to building a new facility in Cambridge to help families experiencing homelessness. During the Cambridge City Council meeting Monday, March 17, the council approved three motions relating to the request from New Pathways, including amending a planned unit development, and approval of the preliminary and final plats. Council Member Molly Christian cast the sole vote against the three motions.

Due to the unexpected death of finance director Mike Betker in early March, the city of Isanti is hiring a firm to temporarily help with financial duties. During the Isanti City Council meeting Tuesday, March 19, the council approved a resolution to accept a proposal from Abdo Financial Solutions to provide interim finance director services, and also directed staff to put together a request for proposals for interim finance director services.

The State of the City of Isanti was held Wednesday, March 19, at the Isanti Community Center and hosted by the North 65 Chamber of Commerce.
