AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) - A 52-year-old man was stabbed to death in Akron on Saturday night, police confirmed. Akron police said the suspect, who knew the victim, is on the loose. Officers were sent to the reported stabbing in the 1600 block of Cromwell Drive at approximately 8:11 p.m. on May 10, APD Lt. Michael Murphy stated. Murphy said officers arrived to find the 52-year-old man suffering from critical injuries.

CANAL FULTON, Ohio (WOIO) - The Canal Fulton - Lawrence Township Fire Department rescued two females in distress from a swift current in the Tuscarawas River on Saturday afternoon. CFLTFD said firefighters were sent to the water rescue near the Canal Boat Dry Dock around 3 p.m. on May 10.

RICHLAND COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) - Do you recognize this poor pup? The Richland County Dog Warden said she was pushed out of a car towards their deputy who was trying to catch another dog. The incident happened on May 8, according to RCDW. She is now in the care of the Richland County Dog Warden shelter. RCDW said she was not wearing a collar and was not microchipped, so they need the community’s help identifying her - or and who pushed her out of the car.

BEREA, Ohio (WOIO) - The Berea Police Department shared “with a heavy heart and profound sadness” that they have lost one of their own on May 10. Sgt.
