The UK has a plethora of towns and villages Londoners can nip away to for a long weekend, or even relocate to altogether. That includes Bruton in Somerset - just two hours by train from London. It’s a town of around 3,000 where the average home sells for £388,810 compared to London’s median of £683,929, according to Rightmove. It has recently been described as the ‘Notting Hill of the south west’ by The Telegraph, which also ranked it the second poshest town in the entire country.
