If there was one thing clear from the Cowboys' 2024 offseason of "all-in," it's that they don't really make big, bold moves anymore. Jerry Jones can talk a good game when it comes to his football team, but when the time comes to act, the ‘Boys often don’t. Perhaps, that's finally changing. They made an unquestionably bold move on Wednesday morning, trading for talented, but sometimes troublesome receiver George Pickens. The former Steeler is exactly the type of receiver they desperately needed.

For a brief moment in Cleveland, everything made sense. The Browns were ready to move on from their disastrous "swing and miss" with Deshaun Watson. They had rebuilt their quarterback room with a chance for short-term and long-term success. They were doing everything right. They were making smart decisions. They were even, apparently, following a plan. Then they reminded everybody that they’re still the Cleveland Browns.

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles! Billions of dollars in contracts were handed out in NFL free agency. Then 257 players were selected last weekend during the 2025 NFL Draft, before hundreds more were signed as undrafted free agents. NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles! The NFL's talent evaluators seemed pretty clear before the draft that this was a bad year for quarterbacks. The reviews were almost universally poor. Only one was widely considered to be a true "franchise quarterback."So for everyone other than Cam Ward — the No. 1 overall pick in the draft by the Tennessee Titans — getting onto the field might be quite a battle. And whether they ever do might depend on whether they landed in the right place.

For most of the first two nights of the NFL Draft, the biggest surprise was the fact that Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders was not selected. But then, late in the third round, the Cleveland Browns found a way to top that. When they made their selection with the 90th overall pick on Friday night — their fifth pick of the first two days — they didn’t just pass on Sanders again. They passed on him in favor of a quarterback almost nobody thought would go in the first three rounds.

RT @zdeossie: Hey @SteveDeOssie, I heard 51 & 99 were available and Abdul went with the more athletic number… Go get em @1NCRDB1, the DeOs…

RT @NFLonFOX: Which traded player will have the biggest impact on their new team this season? 🤔 https://t.co/Vu8AfKidgo

The Giants are going to start Abdul Carter in the outside linebackers room at this weekend's minicamp. He has a Micah Parsons-like potential to play all over the defense, there, so when he really gets going expect him to move around a lot.
