IZARD COUNTY, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Escaped Arkansas inmate Grant Hardin, known as “Devil in the Ozarks,” has been taking into custody, according to the Izard County Sheriff’s Office.
“Hardin was taken into custody by Izard County authorities just a short distance from the North Central Unit in Calico Rock,” the Stone County Sheriff’s Office said via Facebook.

Annie Caler, 28, and Daniel Caler, 34, were arrested on May 9 by the Bentonville Police Department.

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission (AGFC) is assisting in the search for a kayaker who went missing along the Mulberry River in Franklin County. According to AGFC, a dive team is scheduled to arrive at the river the morning of May 8 to aid in the search efforts. The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is leading the operation with support from the U.S. Forest Service Law Enforcement and the Franklin County Search and Rescue team.

No reason was given, however, the spokesperson said some international students across the country are experiencing changes to their immigration status. The news comes after other schools across the U.S. reported international students having their visas revoked.

FORT SMITH, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Fort Smith police are searching for an Oklahoma man wanted in connection with a double homicide at a bar on Wednesday night. FSPD responded to the Foxfire Club on N. 10th Street around 7:41 p.m. to a shooting. Once on the scene, authorities found two gunshot victims. Both were taken to a nearby hospital, where they later died from their injuries. The victims were identified by FSPD on Apr. 10 as Brian Jones, 42, and Todd Jewell, 51.
