    FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — A part of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Fayetteville will be closed due to construction until June 1. According to a press release from the city, traffic will be detoured overnight starting May 27 as part of the Arkansas Department of Transportation’s interchange-improvement project for Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Interstate 49. The release says that from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., crews will be installing a middle span beam on the I-49 overpass.

    ROGERS, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — One year after a deadly tornado swept through Rogers, different parts of the city were damaged or destroyed have gone down many different paths. On Memorial Day weekend 2024, 15 tornadoes touched down from Benton County to Marion County, destroying homes and businesses. One of the worst was an EF-3 tornado that destroyed a large portion of Rogers. Three people in Benton County died. Some businesses were forced to close down, while some were able to rebuild and reopen.

    ROGERS, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — The city of Rogers announced multiple upcoming road closures in downtown for the Poplar Street construction project. According to a press release from the city, the closures are timed for when schools are on summer break and are meant to expedite the project. Full closures will be seen on Poplar Street from 7th Street to 5th Street, and on 3rd Street from Poplar Street to Cherry Street.
