WAUSAU, Wis. (WXCO) – Senator Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) continued her Wisconsin Farm Tour in Wausau on Tuesday with a visit to Hsu Ginseng Farms and learned of continuing challenges faced by farmers of all stripes throughout the state. Baldwin was joined by U.S. Senator Mazie Hirono of Hawaii on the visit Hsu Ginseng Farm, which is the largest ginseng farming and retail operation in the United States.

In-person early voting begins next week in Wisconsin, which will again be in the spotlight when results come into focus. Officials said being an informed voter can make the next several weeks less stressful for everyone. On the campaign trail, Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump continues to spread false claims tied to the 2020 election. Analysts said it is why 2024 results in swing states like Wisconsin will likely be scrutinized.

Abortion has emerged as the most important issue in the November election for women under 30, according to a survey by KFF — a notable change since late spring, before Vice President Kamala Harris entered the presidential race. Nearly 4 in 10 women under 30 surveyed in September and early October told pollsters that abortion is the most important issue to their vote. Just 20 percent named abortion as their top issue when KFF conducted a similar survey in late May and early June.

November elections get all the glory. But this year more than half of the state races in Kentucky will be decided by the end of the primary election. For some candidates, filing their paperwork to run has essentially secured them their office because no one else filed to run against them. In 20 races, the candidate who wins the primary will not face an opponent in the general election, meaning they’ll basically get the job.
